Iran to build light bulb factory in Senegal
Tehran, Jan 19, IRNA ?
Iran?s Minister of Energy Parviz Fattah said Iran will build a
low-consumption light bulb factory in Senegal soon.
Making the remarks in a meeting with his visiting Senegalese
counterpart Samuel Ameth Sarr on Sunday, he said the project served
the objective of expanding cooperation between the two countries
especially in energy sector.
According to the minister, a total of 3,500,000 low energy light bulbs
will be annually produced once the first phase of the project becomes
operational.
Referring to the ?good? trend of energy cooperation between the two
countries, Fattah pointed to several projects Iranian expert companies
have so far undertaken in Senegal and said 154 kms of powerlines and
the four electricity posts constructed by an Iranian company there
doubled the country?s power-generating capacities.
Sarr expressed his country?s interest in expanding ties with Iran in
energy sector.
