Iranian first lady sends message to her Egyptian counterpart

Tehran, Jan 18, IRNA -

Iranian First Lady A'zamossadat Farahi (Ahmadinejad)urged her Egyptian
counterpart Susan Mubarak to try to convince her country?s government
to assist aid deliveries to the Palestinian nation.

In a letter to Mubarak, she said lack of support for the defenseless
Gazan people on the part of Arab and Islamic states was bitter than
the atrocities being committed against them by the Zionist regime.

She urged the Egyptian first lady to try to prevent a human
catastrophe in Gaza by convincing the Egyptian government to open
crossings to the enclave.

Farahi regretted that while first ladies are usually engaged in
humanitarian activities, they were keeping silence or were indifferent
to the plight of Gazan people that has provoked all nations worldwide.
