Security authorities hailed

Manama, July 22 (BNA): The pre-emptive plan of the security authorities which resulted in the arrest of terrorist elements who were planning to carry out terrorist attacks across the kingdom has been lauded. A number of key politicians in the kingdom hailed the pre-emptive plan which, they said, has protected innocents and proved anew the vigilance and capability of the security personnel in safeguarding the nation, the citizens and residents. In this regard, Chairman of the Gathering of National Unity, Shaikh Abdullatif Al-Mahmood, extend deepest thanks to the security bodies and personnel in the kingdom for their vigilance and close follow-up on the activities of terrorist elements and saboteurs who are seeking to subvert the security and stability of the nation. He asserted that the pre-emptive plan had foiled the terrorist plans which could have claimed innocent lives, urging the citizens and residents to cooperate with the security authorities to detect sleeping terrorist cells, and calling on the misled youth to ignore the calls of terrorists who are seeking to cheat them through their erroneous ideology. Dr. Adulla Al-Maqabi asserted that the security authorities are the protective shield of the nation, noting that their busting of the terrorist cell indicates that the arm of the law will reach terrorists and criminals wherever they are. He emphasised the importance of continuous support to the security personnel so that they can strengthen security measures against those seeking to tamper with national security and stability, extending utmost thanks to the leadership for constantly supporting the commendable dedicated efforts of the Interior Ministry and its affiliates. Meanwhile, MP Shaikh Abdulhaleem Murad lauded the Interior Ministry’s success in seizing bomb making materials and weapons after arresting five individuals on terrorist charges, valuing highly the successful operation which, he said, foiled Iran-backed terrorist plots as the arrestees confessed to receiving intensive military training in Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Iraqi Hezbollah camps. He called for the need to refer the arrestees to trial as soon as possible, and inflict maximum penalty on them to protect society and deter plotters and whoever seeks to distabilise the nation. Chairman of the Political Bureau of the National Action Charter Society, Ahmed Juma, commended the performance of the security personnel and authorities in uncovering the thwarting the terrorist attacks, noting the success of the pre-emptive plan adds to the success of the Interior Ministry. He said that hysteria in Iran is at its peak as its plans had been exposed following the success of Bahrain in arresting its aids and bringing them to justice. He affirmed that thanks to the vigilance of the brave security personnel, who are supported by the leadership, Bahrain will overcome all challenges and fend off threats to its security and stability.
