Governor affirms support to cultural movement

Manama, July 22 (BNA): Muharraq Governor Salmman bin Hindi Al-Mannae has lauded the support allocated to the cultural movement in the kingdom, in general, and in Muharraq, in particular, by the President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), affirming that Muharraq’s deep-rooted rich historical heritage stands witness of that great interest. While receiving the Al-Jazeera Cultural Centre’s Board Chairman Mohammed Al-Jazzaf, the governor expressed Muharraq’s pride in the centre. He lauded the key role played by the centre in honouring the literature and culture community, and hosting forums that consolidate the values of patriotism and loyalty to its leadership. He also described the centre as an artistic and cultural school from which patriotic competencies had graduated, affirming the leadership’s unwavering support to those in charge of the cultural movement in the kingdom. The audience expressed thanks and appreciation to the governor for his support to the centre, voicing pride in the rich heritage of Bahrain. The meeting discussed ways to develop the centre’s activities and the possibility of finding a permanent headquarters for it, stressing the need to cooperate with BACA in this regard.
