Youth City 2030 to open tomorrow

Manama, July 19 (BNA): The seventh edition of the Youth City 2030 will open tomorrow at 05:00 PM at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC). The event is being held under the patronage of His Majesty's Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. The Ministry of Youth and Sports is organizing the function in cooperation with the Tamkeen, as a strategic partner. The Youth City 2030 will run until August 24. The inaugural ceremony will be attended by state officials at the site of the Youth City 2030. Four centres will provide 81 programmes which offer training opportunities in the fields of leadership skills, sciences, technology and arts. The participants in Youth City 2030 conducted four mock evacuation drills over two days in cooperation with the Civil Defence, so as to become familiar with ways of dealing with fires and disasters.
