Prince Saud Al-Faisal delivers statement on meeting of Arab

The meeting also reviewed the existing mediation efforts of the Arab
Republic of Egypt aiming to stop the aggression and to achieve a
permanent truce.

These efforts have been complementary to the efforts
of the Council and supportive to the Security Council resolution. It
was agreed on the importance of supporting these efforts within the
framework of a comprehensive Arab movement on all tracks.

The meeting also discussed the action to confront any Israeli schemes
aimed at dividing the Palestinians and the separation of the occupied
territories to hinder the setting up an independent, viable and
contiguous Palestinian state. It discussed the importance of our
Palestinian brothers to positive response to Arab efforts to achieve
their unity and solidarity to pre-empt these Israeli schemes, and to
enable Arab efforts to support the Palestinians.
