Bahraini patients in Turkey are safe, Health Ministry

Manama, July 16 (BNA): The Ministry of Health acted promptly and reached out to Bahraini citizens who are undergoing treatment in Turkey to ensure their safety in the aftermath of the coup attempt. Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh directed the Overseas Treatment Department to telephone patients along with their companions amid the incidents which were unfolding in Turkey. In a statement today, the ministry said that all Bahraini patients and companions are safe and doing well. Health officials coordinated with the operations director at the Foreign Ministry to establish contacts with Bahraini patients to get reassured about their safety and get updated about the hospitals where they are undergoing treatment. They were urged to comply with the advisory which was issued by the Foreign Ministry to be precautious, stay indoors and contact the competent authorities in Bahrain in case of emergency.
