Interior minister receives US peace official

SANA'A, Jan. 15 (Saba)- Minister of Interior Rashad al-Masri met on
Thursday with expert of the Middle East at the US Karingi Peace
Institute Christopher Posic.

During the meeting, the minister reviewed efforts exerted by Yemen
in order to combat terrorism and sea piracy, in addition to efforts
to qualify prisoners and improving their living situations inside
prisons to re-integrate in the society.

He affirmed that all prisons are open for researchers' visits and
that his ministry welcomes all researches which help to solve
prisoners' problems.

Al-Masri indicated the continuous visits conducted by Ministry of
Human Rights and international and local organizations to the
prisons which aim at improving prisoners' situations and developing
qualifying services provided to them.
