President Saleh meets NDI's director

SANA'A, Jan.15 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met Thursday
with Director of the National Democratic Institute in the Medile
East and North Africa Les Campbell.

The meeting dealt with cooperation relations between Yemen and NDI
in field of political and democratic development. The two parts also
discussed issues regarding preparations for holding the forthcoming
parliamentarian elections and role of the institute for supporting
these elections.

The president highlighted role of the institute in supporting
Yemen's democratic approach. He affirmed that the elections will be
transparent and impartial.
