President asks US and EU to intervene to stop Israeli offensive in Gaza

SANA'A, Jan. 14 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh asked on
Wednesday United Stated and European Union countries to intervene to
stop Israeli offensive in Gaza.

In a meeting brought together US ambassador and European diplomats
in Yemen, president Saleh asked these countries to intervene to stop
the offensive, end the siege, open border crossings, withdraw of
Israeli occupation forces from Gaza Strip , bring Israeli leaders to
the International Criminal Court for their crimes in the strip.

He also asked these countries to stop exporting weapons to Israeli.
These demands were asked by the Arab and Islamic nation as well as
who have alive conscience in the world, president said.

He said that the Arab and Islamic world expects a US and European
stance which fits with their calls for respecting human rights and
combating terror as what is going on now in Gaza is a state terror
against Palestinians.

President Saleh expressed sadness for applying double standard in
implementing international resolution associated with Israel.

He also wondered about statements that Israeli genocide against
Palestinians people is "self-defense", saying what about right of
the Palestine in self defense.

President Saleh warned that such shame silence of the international
community would create dangerous reactions in the Arab and Islamic
streets and damage all efforts of peace.
