Iran's shipload aid to Gazans reaching besieged area
Tehran, Jan 13, IRNA - A shipload of Iran?s humanitarian aid for the besieged people of Gaza Strip was on the verge of arriving in the area, Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hassan Qashqavi, said on Monday.
Speaking to reporters at his weekly press conference, he said that a
cargo plane carrying Iran?s humanitarian aid for Gazans was dispatched
to the region.
Qashqavi called on the Egyptian government to help deliver the relief
aid to its final destination.
Egypt has come under fire for its refusal to reopen the Rafah border
crossing in order to provide food, fuel and medicine to the
defenseless people of Gaza who are under Israelis savage air and
ground attacks for 17 days.
The Zionist forces brutality in the besieged area has so far left
around 900 killed and nearly 4,000 injured.
