UAE to participate in urgent meeting of Arab health ministers to discuss Gaza

Dubai, Jan 13, 2009 (WAM) - Minister of Health HE Humaid Mohammed Obeid Al Qatami will head the UAE delegation to take part in the emergency meeting of the Arab health ministers due to be held in Riyadh on Tuesday to discuss the health and humanitarian situation in Gaza.

The delegation is composed of Director of External relations and international health bureau Nasser Khalifa Al Badoor, Director of Government communications at the MOH Murad Abdullah Al Baloushi and representative of the Red Crescent Authority (RCA) Suhail Rashid Al Qadi.

Al Badoor said that the meeting will asses the deteriorating health situation in Gaza, which has been pounded by Israel continuously since the last two weeks.

The Arab ministers will also explore effective ways for taking necessary medical and healthcare to the people of Gaza, he added.
