UAE, Germany seal joint statement for political dialogue
Berlin, Jan 13, 2009 (WAM) - The UAE and Germany signed yesterday an agreement for a joint statement for establishing a political dialogue. The agreement was signed on the sideline of the visit H.H. Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, made to Berlin by UAE Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
The agreement underscored the sincere desire of the two countries to boost their joint five-year old partnership through regular political consultations in order to find adequate mechanisms for expanding scope and avenues of bilateral cooperation and exchanging views on a host of regional and international topics of mutual concern.
