Nahyan Bin Mubarak meets Gauteng Premier Paul Mashatile
Abu Dhabi, Jan 13, 2009 (WAM) - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research HE Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan received yesterday at his palace in Abu Dhabi, the Premier of South Africa's Gauteng province Paul Mashatile.
Mashatile is in UAE at the head of a delegation to explore the investment opportunities in the country.
Sheikh Nahyan also received a students' delegation from Johns Hopkins university of USA currently touring the country to learn about the higher education in the UAE.
Welcoming the delegations Sheikh Nahyan stressed the importance of exchange of visits, both with academic and economic objectives for achieving stronger relations and cooperation. These visits can contribute towards eradicating ignorance and poverty and can combat diseases which threaten many societies, Sheikh Nahyan said.
