President Masum Meets British Ambassador To Baghdad

BAGHDAD / NINA / President Fuad Masum confirmed the importance of relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom, calling for cementing and upgrade them at various levels. Masum, during a meeting with British Ambassador Frank Baker in the Salam Palace in Baghdad, according to a presidential statement, expressed appreciation for the position of Britain in supporting Iraq in its fight against terrorist groups and its contribution to the reconstruction of liberated areas. For his part, Ambassador Baker confirmed the importance of developing bilateral relations, adding: "The United Kingdom looks with attention to Iraq and help it to overcome the security and economic obstacles through the continuation of the military and humanitarian support and expand constructive bilateral cooperation in various fields."
