Iran advises Obama to avoid repeating US old, unreal stand on Iran
Tehran, Jan 12, IRNA - Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqzavi advised US presiden-elect Barack Obama on Monday to avoid repeating Washington?s old and unreal stand on Iran.
Qashqavi made the remarks reacting to Obama?s latest statements about Iran-US relations.
Speaking at his weekly press conference, the spokesman stressed that
Iran would ?undoubtedly take due and timely stands by taking into
account the performance and approaches of the next US administration.?
Referring to the shift of stand occurred in Obama?s statements on
Iran, Qashqavi said, ?We must see how was the change in Obama?s
approaches and whether or not it would lead to a fundamental change in
US policy.?
Addressing the US president-elect, Qashqavi stressed, ?The world
public opinion is waiting to see those changes which were promised
during the electoral campaign.?
