'For the Children of Gaza, with Love', Al Qasba charity event draws attention
Sharjah, Jan 12, 2009 (WAM) - In a move to show solidarity and raise funds for relief for the victims of Israeli aggression in Gaza, Al Qasba held a charity event under the name 'For the Children of Gaza, with Love' here on Friday. The premier family entertainment event hosted in collaboration with charity organisations and volunteers attracted a large number of children and families.
The event was attended by Mohammed Diab Al Mousa, Educational Adviser of HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council member and Ruler of Sharjah and Marwan Jassem Al Sarkal, Chief Executive Officer of Al Qasba Development Authority, visitors and the media.
The host of activities lined up on the open day for both adults and children focused on raising awareness among community members on the plight of the Palestinian people who live under the bombing of the Israeli aggression.
