Samsung Engineering wins US$27.2 mln order from Vietnam

SEOUL, Jan. 12 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Engineering Co., South Korea's largest
engineering firm, said Monday that it has received a US$27.2 million order to
build a facility for the collection of carbon dioxide from fertilizer plants in
southern Vietnam.
Under the deal with Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals (PVFCCO) Corp., a
Vietnamese fertilizer company, Samsung Engineering will complete construction of
the facility by January 2011, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The facility will be built in a fertilizer plant at the Phu My industrial complex
near the southern Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh, which was completed by Samsung
Engineering in 2004.
Samsung Engineering has won the order in partnership with Japan's Mitsubishi
Heavy Industries Ltd.
