LG Display to supply LCD panels for Apple Inc.
SEOUL, Jan. 12 (Yonhap) -- LG Display Co., the world's second-largest maker of
liquid-crystal displays (LCD), said Monday it has signed a contract with Apple
Inc. to supply LCDs to the U.S. computer maker.
The deal will remain effective for five years, LG Display said, without
disclosing further details, including the number of annual shipments.
The company said it would receive a prepayment of US$500 million within the month.
