Yemen, UK discuss security cooperation

SANA'A, Jan. 11 (Saba) - Yemen and the United Kingdom (UK) discussed
here on Sunday aspects of security cooperation between the two
friendly countries.

Interior Minister Mutahar al-Masri and the UK ambassador to Yemen
Tim Torlot held talks on combating piracy acts and coordinating
international efforts to secure the international navigation in the
region.

For his part, the UK diplomat hailed Yemeni achievements in
combating crimes and terrorism, praising the success
Yemen realized regarding the ban on carrying weapons inside the
governorates.

The minister al-Masri valued the UK efforts to boost the
cooperation, particularly in fields of security and coastguards.
