Yemen, GCC discuss audiovisual information cooperation

JEDDAH, Jan. 11 (Saba) - Director General of Radio and T.V
Corporation Abdullah Ali al-Zalab held talks on Sunday in Jeddah
with head of Radio and T.V institution of Gulf Cooperation Council
Abdullah Abu Ras mechanisms of cooperation and coordination among
Yemeni and GCC Radio and T.V corporations.

The two sides confirmed importance of information cooperation among
those corporations, after Yemen became a member of Radio and T.V
institution of GCC according to decision of 29th GCC leaders summit
which was held in Muscat last December.

This meeting came in the sidelines of meetings of the 28th session
for the General Assembly and 80th meeting of Executive Council of
Radio and T.V Union of Arab countries which is being held in Jeddah
city of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

It is expected that Abu Ras will visit Sana'a on the upcoming
February to discuss practical procedures of implementation of the
summit decision for Yemen's joining to Radio and T.V corporations of
GCC.
