Ahmadinejad: OIC set up to support Palestinians' rights

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday strongly criticized the
silence of the Organization of Islamic Conference over inhuman crimes
and atrocities of the Zionists forces in Gaza.

The president recalled that the organization was basically established
to support the legitimate rights of Palestinians which were being
trampled upon by Zionists occupiers, he said.

Speaking for Basiji (volunteer forces) staff at the Presidential
Office, he referred to the crimes of the Zionist forces in Gaza Strip
and said that the establishment of the Zionist regime was masterminded
by global hegemony and colonial powers.

Colonial powers not only established the Zionist regime to dominate
Islamic states as well as countries in the region but also to take
control of the entire world, he said.

The nature of the Zionist regime rests on aggression and occupation,
he said, adding that the Zionist regime targeted Lebanon two years ago
on baseless allegations and now they have targeted the Gaza Strip on
the same pretext and tomorrow they might target Jordan, Egypt or any
other country in the region on the same excuse.

Describing the inhuman acts of the Zionist forces in the Gaza Strip as
unprecedented, he said the carnage unleashed on innocent women and
children and wide-scale bombardment of defenseless people, the closure
of borders and hindering the flow of food and medicines should be
regarded as unprecedented crimes in the history the illegitimate regime.

Some analysts believe that the Zionists have targeted Gaza Strip to
compensate for its defeat in the 33-day war in Lebanon, said the
president.

Lebanese Hizbullah proved to what extent the Zionist forces are
vulnerable but they assume that they (Zionists) can defeat the
resistance movement by targeting the weakest position of resistance
movement in Gaza Strip but to no avail, he said.

Some analysts believe that the Zionist regime has targeted Gaza under
pressure exerted by Egypt to weaken Hamas, he said.

"We believe that the Zionist regime seeks an accomplice for its crimes
in the region and we advise the Egyptian government to break its
silence and clearly spell out its stance in dealing with other
countries and its own nation," he said.

The myth of Holocaust has come to an end even in the West, he underlined.

Those backing this fake regime should be held accountable to other
nations and the people in Palestine in particular, he said.

"If they (Zionists) were optimistic about their fate, they would never
commit such crimes," he said.

Those who back the Zionist regime are now hesitant but they should
know that their names have been registered as supporters of the
Zionists and by the grace of God all will be brought to justice in the
near future, he said.

Free nations and Islamic countries should know that the money for
conducting transactions with Zionist regime's companies and purchasing
their products will be turned into bombs and missiles to kill the
Palestinian people, he said.

President Ahmadinejad strongly condemned the silence of some Islamic
states in the face of crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza.
