Mottaki calls UNSC resolution on Gaza 'weak and late'

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki criticized the UN Security
Council resolution on Gaza and said it is 'weak' and was issued 'late'.
According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on
Saturday, Mottaki in a meeting with North Korean new Ambassador to
Tehran So Se Pyong by, referring to the latest development in Gaza,
criticized the United Nations Security Council procrastination for
issuing a resolution and said the issued resolution is weak and has
not mentioned the name of the legal and legitimate government of Hamas.
He added ignoring the issue of compensation for damages and rebuilding
Gaza are among other weaknesses of the resolution.
Mottaki also refferred to the potentials of the North Korea and added
that Iran has always had good relations and that cooperation between
the two countries in international bodies is beneficial for both sides.
He expressed hope that the new ambassador could promote bilateral ties level.
So Se Pyong , for his part, said execution of mutual agreements is a
good ground for expansion of cooperation and underlined the exchange
of delegations between Iran and North Korea can be increased.
Giving priority to economic cooperation can deepen ties between the
two countries, he added.
Concerning civilian killings in Gaza by the Israelis regime, the new
ambassador said, "Our Foreign Ministry by issuing a statement has
criticized Israeli action in Gaza and had called it as a crime against
humanity."
The new ambassador submitted a copy of his credentials to the Foreign
Minister Mottaki.
