Iranian cargo ship freed
Tehran, Jan 10, IRNA - Iranian-leased cargo ship carrying wheat was released Friday night almost two months after it was hijacked off Somalia, IRNA reported on Saturday.
All the 25-member crew are in good health and the cargo ship ?Delight?
is on the way to Iran thanks to the efforts made by Iranian officials
during the 53 days, Iran?s Shipping Lines said.
The 36,000-ton shipment of wheat from Europe is untouched and due to
be unloaded after berthed at the southern Iranian ports, then it will
be sent to the intended destinations, the Iranian organization added.
'Delight' had been stolen by pirates in the Gulf of Aden on November 18.
