Defense Minister Discusses With A British Delegation Preparations To Liberate Mosul

BAGHDAD / NINA/ Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi discussed with a delegation of the Committee for Defense of the British House of Commons and officials from the British Ministry of Defense's policy, military preparations for the battle to liberate Nineveh. A statement by the Defense Ministry said al-Obeidi received today the British delegation, who congratulated the Defense minister on the big victories of the Iraqi armed forces in Ramadi. The statement added that they talked about the military preparations for the battle to liberate Nineveh, where the British delegation expressed the readiness of the United Kingdom to assist Iraq in the coming war to eradicate terrorism and expel Daash terrorist gangs from all Iraqi territory. For his part, the Minister of Defence thanked British government's position supporting Iraq and in particular the position of defense minister in the last conference held in Brussels, stressing that the victories achieved in Ramadi came through concerted joint efforts between the armed forces and the clan' fighters, where many of the sons of Anbar trained and equipped with arms to participate in the liberation of their city. He explained that the devastation suffered by the city of Ramadi is very large and in need for international efforts to contribute to reconstruct this city, noting that Iraq needs assist of the British government in the training of engineering effort as well as providing the necessary technical equipment. He pointed out that each battle has its own preparations, and the Battle of Nineveh being processed, stressing that this battle is the battle of separation that will prove worthiness and efficiency of the Iraqi armed forces, and will be the end of Daash. For his part, the guests confirmed that they will transfer the desire of the Ministry of Defense to the British Government for the purpose of contributing to raising the remnants of Daash from the city of Ramadi, through the training of engineering effort and provide the necessary equipment to secure the return of the displaced and support Iraq in its coming battle to liberate the city of Mosul. / End
