Hyundai Mobis eyes 4.2 pct drop in 2009 domestic sales

SEOUL, Jan. 9 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Mobis Co., South Korea's largest auto-parts
maker, said Friday it expects domestic sales to fall 4.2 percent this year from
last year's forecast.
Hyundai Mobis, which generates most of its revenues from its affiliates Hyundai
Motor Co. and Kia Motors Corp., expected domestic sales to reach 8.9 trillion won
(US$6.7 billion) in 2009, compared with its 2008 target of 9.29 trillion won.
In addition, the company said it plans to spend 200 billion won this year on
research and development projects.
