Kia Motors eyes 35 pct market share in S. Korea
SEOUL, Jan. 9 (Yonhap) -- Kia Motors Corp., South Korea's second-largest
automaker, said Friday it aims to expand its market share at home to 35 percent
this year, up from 27.4 percent last year.
Kia, an affiliate of leading automaker Hyundai Motor Co., sold 316,432 vehicles
in South Korea last year, a 16.2 percent increase from a year earlier, the
company said in a statement.
The company did not say how many vehicles it plan to sell at home this year.
Hyundai controls more than half of South Korea's 1.1 million-unit vehicle market.
