Crown Prince: Innovation and creativity key components of fostering viable and sustainable economic opportunities to enable citizens’ aspirations to be met

Manama, Feb.2 (BNA) His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met the Sri Lankan Minister of Industry and Commerce, Risad Badhiutheen, at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, His Royal Highness emphasised that in light of current global economic conditions, innovation and creativity are key components of driving forward economic diversification efforts, as well as fostering viable and sustainable economic opportunities to enable the aspirations of all Bahrainis to be met. His Royal Highness also noted that Bahrain has continuously demonstrated its commitment to strengthening ties with trading nations across the world, and that Bahrain’s steadfast commitment to bilateral trade relations has contributed directly to the enhancement of relations between Bahrain and South Asian countries. His Royal Highness added that economic development efforts and the development of bilateral and strategic ties must be underpinned by the objective of increasing prosperity for all citizens, and that it is exactly this principle that guides Bahrain’s long-term development. For his part, the Sri Lankan Minister highlighted the success of his visit to the Kingdom, particularly its role in facilitating cooperation opportunities between the two countries. His Excellency Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism also attended the meeting.
