RCO secretary-general receives Kuwaiti ambassador

Manama, Feb. 2 (BNA): The Royal Charity Organisation (RCO)'s Secretary-general Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed received the Ambassador of Kuwait to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al Sabah. Dr. Al Sayed briefed the Kuwaiti ambassador about the Organisation's history, the number of orphans and widows sponsored by His Majesty the King, the beneficiary categories from the RCO-provided services and educational, health, social welfare as well as development projects being implemented by the RCO in various fields. Dr. Al Sayed also cited the RCO's assistance and relief aid abroad in disaster-stricken countries at the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa the Honorary President of the Royal Charity Organisation led by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the RCO's Board of Trustees. The ambassador commended the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty's prominent paternal care for orphans and widows noting His Majesty's huge concern over philanthropic and humanitarian work inside the Kingdom and abroad, expressing pride in the vital role undertaken by Bahrain in promoting charity work and humanitarian support throughout the world. The ambassador also praised the efforts of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in producing this selfless humanitarian work in the most perfect manner and efficiently and professionally delivering relief aid to the needy peoples in disaster-afflicted countries undergoing various humanitarian circumstances.
