Health minister, German ambassador explore cooperation

Manama, Feb. 2 (BNA): Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh received the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Alfred Simms-Protz, praising the bilateral cooperation ties especially in the field of health. They also discussed various health-related topics including visits by German consultants to the Kingdom of Bahrain, benefiting from their expertise in the treatment and diagnosis of some cases, performing micro-surgical procedures, the exchange of medical expertise at Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC), opening up new vistas of fruitful cooperation in favour of patients and provision of quality treatment locally up to highest international medical standards. The ambassador praised the standard of specialized health services provided in the Kingdom's hospitals and health centres (HCs), expressing his country's readiness to boost the health cooperation to uplift the level of health services. Towards the conclusion of their meeting, the minister thanked the German ambassador for the visit, wishing him all success in his diplomatic mission to develop the bilateral ties in all fields. The ambassador expressed his gratitude and appreciation of the minister's efforts in boosting the ongoing cooperation between the two countries.
