Iran, Syria urge Arabs to help lift Gaza siege

Iran?s Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and Syrian President Bashar
al-Assad on Wednesday urged Islamic-Arab parliaments to fulfill their
tasks to condemn Israeli crimes in Palestinian lands and help lift the
Gaza blockade.
In the meeting, the two sides held talks on the latest developments in
the Gaza Strip.
They also underscored the need to send humanitarian and medical
supplies to the region.
Iran?s Ambassador to Syria Ahmad Mousavi and speaker of People?s
Assembly of Syria Mahmoud al-Abrash were also present in the meeting.
Iranian Majlis speaker is due to confer with his Syrian counterpart
and the Palestinian leaders in Damascus on the latest developments in
Gaza Strip.
Larijani arrived in Damascus on Wednesday to hold talks with senior
Syrian officials on the Gaza crisis.
