Foreign Correspondents Club board elections on Saturday

Manama, Jan.29(BNA): The Foreign Correspondents Club will hold its annual meeting - on Saturday morning- to elect its new board for the 2016-2018 term. Members who paid their subscriptions and officials representing the Ministry of Information Affairs will attend the meeting at the Bahrain Journalists’ Association (BJA) headquarters. Nine candidates have been have been nominated to vie for the seven-seat board. The newly-elected members will convene for their first meeting and choose the chairman, deputy chairman, secretary-general, treasurer, official in charge of members’ affairs, in addition to two administrative members.
