SCW-PSFW cooperation reviewed

Manama, Jan. 28 (BNA): Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Hala Al-Ansari has lauded the efforts by the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Fund for Women Development (PSFW) in Saudi Arabia. Al Ansari praised the outstanding role played by PSFW and its numerous initiatives aiming to empower Saudi Women to increase their contributions to comprehensive national development and consolidate their role in sustainable development through creating an integrated cognitive, social and economic framework to support them. She made the statements as she received at the SCW’s premises today a delegation from the PSFW, led by its Deputy CEO Hana Al-Zuhair. The SCW secretary-general welcomed efforts to open up new horizons of cooperation and exchange of expertise between the SCW and PSFW to achieve their common goals of empowering women and enhancing their contributions to their community’s progress and prosperity. She stressed that the two sides shared the goals of supporting and empowering women to be effective partners in the national development, removing obstacles facing women and finding solutions to them in all fields to activate their developmental role and prepare a highly qualified and skilled generation of future women leaders. The PSFW’s Deputy CEO briefed Al-Ansari about PSFW’s initiatives and activities to advance Saudi women and highlight their achievements. The Saudi delegation visited he SCW’s Women Support Centre, the Women Development Centre (Riyadat) in order to collect first-hand information about the kingdom’s experience in supporting the enterprises of women entrepreneurs, as well as the available infrastructure providing them the necessary funding and consultations.
