Bahrain, Tunisian relations hailed

Manama, Jan.27(BNA): Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi commended strong relations binding his country with the Kingdom of Bahrain. He expressed delight at visiting Bahrain and meeting His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to discuss joint cooperation, in addition to Arab and regional developments. Addressing the Tunisian expatriate community, he hailed Bahrain’s openness on cosmopolitan cultures and co-existence between all social segments. He lauded Bahrain’s strides in promoting human rights and empowering women, which, he said, represents a source of pride in the Arab region. He commended the Kingdom of Bahrain for the facilities provided for the Tunisian expatriate community, urging them to project their country’s positive image. President Essebsi said that the coming period would witness tangible strides in the bilateral relations binding Tunisia and Bahrain, pointing out that joint cooperation will be intensified. He hailed the history of fraternal bilateral relations which date back to the late Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa.
