Tunisian President's visit to Bahrain boost to bilateral relations

Manama, Jan. 27 (BNA): Tunisian Ambassador to Bahrain Mohammed bin Yussef underlined the importance of the visit of Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi to Bahrain for it reflects keenness to further consolidate bilateral relations.
In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), he said the visit, which is the first of its kind paid by a Tunisian President to Bahrain, comes to bolster Arab relations. He pointed out that the Tunisian President's regional tour started with a visit to Saudi Arabia, then Kuwait and today Bahrain to further promote bilateral relations. He also added in the statement given on the sidelines of the Tunisian President's meeting with members of the Tunisian community in Bahrain that the visit came at a very crucial time given the changes witnessed by the Arab region. He noted that those developments require boosting coordination among the Arab countries to further cement the Arab stance.
Concerning the agreements signed by both countries, the Tunisian ambassador stressed the importance of the cooperation agreement in air transportation in invigorating commercial exchange by re-launching direct flights between Bahrain and Tunisia. He pointed out that the Tunisian community in Bahrain accounts for 1600 people, working mainly in the educational sector and enjoying great care from the government.
