Cooperation to disseminate human rights culture stressed

Jan 27 (BNA): Interior Minister Lt. Gen Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa this morning received a delegation from the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) led by President Dr. Abdulaziz Abul who presented the Second Annual Report 2014. The minister said that human rights are among the main principles of the royal reform project. He praised the NIHR efforts in carrying out its humanitarian responsibility and commitment to maintaining social stability. He directed the concerned departments to respond to the items in the report concerning the work of the Interior Ministry. He stressed the ministry's keenness to continue cooperation to disseminate the culture of human rights within the Bahraini society. NIHR President hailed the level of cooperation with the Interior Ministry, which has contributed to bolstering the NIHR's communication with human rights international organizations. Interior General Inspector; Undersecretary; Public Security Chief and Assistant Undersecretary of Legal Affairs were present at the meeting.
