Bahrain, US relations commended

Manama, Jan. 25(BNA): The number of Bahraini students in the United States of America topped 461 last year. US Ambassador William Roebuck unveiled the statistics as he hosted a reception party for Bahraini alumni of U.S. Universities. He stressed deep-rooted cooperation bonding the United States and the Kingdom of Bahrain in all fields, including education. He pointed out that the number of students enrolled at the US Universities soared by 7.5% which reflects the reputation of the American academic studies. The ambassador described the reception party as a good opportunity to renew friendship with Bahraini alumni of U.S. Universities, expressing the hope that they would continue participating in the programmes organised by the US Embassy and the American Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain (AmCham Bahrain). AmCham Bahrain President Qays Hatim Zu'bi hailed Bahrain's membership in the organisation which boasts up to three million members. He stressed the efforts of the chamber to consolidate bilateral relations in the trade sector.
