Bahrain handballers to be awarded

Manama, Jan. 24(BNA): Bahrain national handball team players will get bonuses in the wake of their brilliant qualification to the World Men's Handball Championship for the third time in a row. His Majesty's Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa directed the players to be awarded. HH Shaikh Nasser hailed the outstanding performance of the national team in the 17th Asian Handball Championship, scheduled to conclude in Bahrain on Thursday (Jan 28). He took pride in the brilliant qualification which, he said, reflects the players' spirit of determination, defiance and keenness on honouring Bahrain in all sport fields. BOC Secretary-General, 17th Asian Handball Championship Deputy Patron Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar paid tribute to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for his directives to honour the players.
