HM King hails Bahrain-India relations

Manama, Jan.23 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa hailed strong Bahraini-Indian relations, which are based on mutual respect and joint coordination.
This came as he received Minister of External Affairs and Overseas Indian Affairs Sushma Swaraj who conveyed greetings from Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and their wishes of lasting progress and prosperity to Bahrain and its people.
HM the King extended greetings to President Mukherjee and Prime Minister Modi, wishing India and its friendly people further progress and development.
He stressed Bahrain’s keenness on expanding cooperation with India, commending its international standing and pivotal role.
He hailed Indian strides on all levels, recalling his historic and successful visit to India, which contributed to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding political, economic, trade and investment cooperation.
He paid tribute to India for its stances in support of Arab causes and efforts in the international arena to strengthen world security, stability and peace.
He commended the Indian expatriate community for its long-standing contribution to Bahrain’s development strides in all fields, describing Bahrain as a beacon of tolerance, co-existence and amity between faiths and religious doctrines.
HM the King reviewed with the Indian minister latest regional and international developments. Swaraj expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King hailing his pivotal role in strengthening bilateral relations.
She hailed the care and hospitality enjoyed by the Indian expatriate community, stressing her country’s resolve to continue strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation with Bahrain.
