HM King receives US Congress delegation

Manama, Jan.23 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa commended strong bilateral relations bonding Bahrain and the United States, hailing steadily-growing military and defence cooperation. Receiving a US Congress Armed Forces Committee delegation at Sakhir Airbase, he stressed Bahrain’s keenness on bolstering deep-rooted ties and expanding cooperation in all fields. He paid tribute to the people of Bahrain for their dedicated work in serving their country, achieving its progress and prosperity under the reform project. He took pride in landmark achievements, hailing Bahrain’s strides on all levels. HM the King reiterated Bahrain’s unwavering support to all regional and international efforts to strengthen security, stability and peace in the region. He hailed the US pivotal role in maintaining regional security and stability and serving the cause of peace in the world. HM the King reviewed with the US Congress delegation military and defence cooperation, in addition to regional and international developments. The delegation members thanked HM the King for expressing keenness on strengthening historic relations between the two countries in all fields.
