Belgian Speaker receives Bahraini Ambassador

Brussels, Jan. 21(BNA): President of the Lower House of Belgium Siegfried Bracke received Bahrain's Ambassador to Brussels Dr. Bahiya Al-Jishi who stressed the Kingdom's landmark strides under the reform project of His Majesty the King. Dr. Al-Jishi said that the freedom of expression is an inalienable right which is guaranteed by the National Action Charter and the Constitution and regulated by the law. She highlighted the standing of Bahraini women and their pivotal contribution to the development march, being an active and essential nation-building partner. Dr. Al-Jishi highlighted the role of the Supreme Council for Women in empowering women and promoting equal opportunities. Regional and international issues of mutual interest were discussed.
