HM King receives French official

Manama, Jan. 21(BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received at Al-Sakhir Airbase Matthias Fekl Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad, currently on visit to the Kingdom to attend the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS 2016). HM the King welcomed the delegation and hailed their participation in the world exhibition which, he said, reflects deep-rooted historic relations bonding Bahrain and France. He hailed solid ties which date back to the early 1900s, embodying joint strategic interests in all fields. He hailed the results of his visit to France and his meeting with President Francois Hollande who stressed his keenness on bolstering bilateral relations. HM the King cited the agreements which were signed then to benefit from the French expertise and knowhow in launching strategic projects. He stressed particularly the agreement which was sealed to modernise Gulf Air fleet of Airbus planes. He stressed the importance of the agreement related to Bahrain's urban planning project which will meet the Kingdom's future needs. A H N
