HM King receives Russian Envoy

Manama, Jan. 21(BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today received at Al-Sakhir Airbase Victor Zubcov, the Special Envoy of the Russian President Vladimir Putin and Gazprom Chairman, currently on visit to the Kingdom to attend the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS 2016). HM the King welcomed the Russian envoy and reviewed with him relations of friendship bonding the two friendly countries, as well as ways of bolstering economic, trade, investment, cultural and tourism cooperation. He underlined the keenness of the two countries on expanding bilateral coordination and cooperation on all levels to meet the aspirations of the two friendly countries and peoples. HM the King commended the Russian Federation, hailing its active participation in BIAS 2016 which, he said, reflects good relations bonding the two countries. He underlined the crucial role of the expo as a pivotal platform to acquire know-how, exchange expertise and information and keep abreast of modern aviation technologies and air navigation. The Russian envoy expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King and hailed his keenness on strengthening bilateral relations, commending BIAS-2016 which attracted leading aviation companies.
