Bahrain, South Korean cooperation discussed

Seoul, Jan. 21(BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary, Head of the National Committee for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah met Cho Chul-ho, Vice Chairman, Korea Specialty Chemical Industry Association in Seoul, the friendly Republic of Korea. He stressed the importance of the meeting which came in the framework of the implementation of the agreement on Chemical Weapons Prohibition, adding that the Kingdom of Bahrain looks forward to reinforcing the existing cooperation prospects with the Republic of Korea in all fields. The members of the committee who attended the meeting were Dr. Jassim Al Mehza’a, representing the Ministry of Health, Mirza Khalaf from the Supreme Council for the Environment, Najeeb Al Balooshi from the Customs Affairs, First Lieutenant Qassim Saleh from the Ministry of Interior and Advisor Fatma Al Dhaen, representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On the sidelines of the visit, the Undersecretary met with Gimpo Airport Customs Director General Oh, Byung-Hyun and got familiar along with the accompanying delegation members with the ways and mechanisms adopted in unloading and storing imported goods and commodities by air and the procedures followed in handling the chemical materials included in the agreement on Chemical Weapons Prohibition. It is noteworthy that Gimpo International Airport is the second largest airport in the Republic of Korea after Incheon International Airport (IIA).
