Khalid bin Hamad show jumping championship concludes

Manama, Jan. 9 (BNA): Under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Athletic Federation and in the presence of HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Showjumping Championship was held on Friday on the field of the Military Sports Federation in Al Raffa, Sakhir. Rider Shaikh Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Khalifa won the Grand Prix of the championship which included hurdles height of 120 – 130 CM and course speed of 350metre/minute. Shaikh Abdulla finished the round in 59:94 seconds on the horse Venus and with four flaws. Both juniors categories were dominated by rider Mayoof Al Rumaihi who finished the first contest in 24:00 seconds and the second one in 46:97 seconds. It’s worth mentioning that the first contest included hurdles height of 80 – 90 Cm and course speed of 300M/M, while the second contest included hurdles with the height of 95 – 105 CM and the same course speed. In the advanced category for adults, rider Ali Isa bagged the first position of the first contest on the horse Refezenty scoring a 41:43 seconds time. The contest included hurdles height of 90 – 100 CM and course speed of 350M/M. The first place of the second adults challenge went to rider Sami Ghazwan who finished the two-phase run in 30:00 seconds. The round included hurdle heights of 105-115 CM and course speed of 350M/M.
