Government's support to associations affirmed

Manama, Jan. 5 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed the government's keenness on helping associations and civil society organisations to assume their national role in supporting the development and modernisation march currently witnessed by the kingdom in various fields. He praised the effective participation of the national political societies in ensuring the success of the parliamentary work in the kingdom, calling for concerted efforts in order to enhance the nation's progress and prosperity. HRH Premier was speaking as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Secretary-General of Al Menbar National Islamic Society Dr. Ali Ahmed Abdulla Al Amin and some Board of Directors' members. HRH the Prime Minister praised the role played by Al-Menbar in national affairs in accordance with basic principles that support maintaining the kingdom's security and stability, calling for the need to take advantage of the Bahraini society's ideological and cultural diversity to adopt varied ways of dealing with various issues. HRH Premier urged joining ranks to face the challenges currently witnessed by the region in order to defend the nation and safeguard its security and stability. "There should be no laxity or compromise when it comes to protecting the nation and defending its interests," he stressed. Dr. Ali Ahmed Abdulla Al-Ameen expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his support to national issues, and prompt response to the citizens' needs. He affirmed that HRH Premier's stances have upgraded the kingdom's status at the regional and international arenas.
