Bahraini-Jordanian cooperation reviewed

Manama, Jan 5 (BNA): Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Zayed R. Alzayani has met the Speaker of Jordanian House of Representatives Abdulla Obeidat and the accompanying delegation, as part of their official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The minister stressed the solid bilateral relations between the two countries in economic, social, political and security fields. He said "The relationship between Bahrain and Jordan is a very close and long-standing, we have many things in common for example the human element, enhancing cultural aspects, as well as giving priority to education as a foundation to build and develop the country." The minister added "there is a clear directives of HRH the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on benefiting from the Jordanian expertise in the field of medicine and medical supplies industry, which requires cooperation with the stakeholder in both countries to achieve this orientation which will benefit the citizens of both countries." The minister also touched other issues of common interest which require further development and cooperation such as the free trade agreement with the United States and enhancing cooperation to maximize the use of both countries. As well as the promising tourism sector in Bahrain, as declaring Manama the capital of Gulf Tourism 2016. He affirmed that Bahrain owns all the elements that makes it a favorable destination for tourist from GCC, Arab region and the world, pointing out benefiting from Jordan expertise in this aspect. The delegation expressed their admiration of urban renaissance witnessed by Bahrain, underlining establishing cooperation in aluminum field, which is of the most important industries in Bahrain.
