Deputy King receives newly appointed Egyptian Ambassador and stresses importance of continued cooperation

Manama, Jan. 5 (BNA): The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Her Excellency Suha Ibrahim Mohammed Rifaat, at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the historic ties between Bahrain and Egypt, and emphasised the commitment of both countries to strengthening cooperation in order to achieve further progress and development. His Royal Highness went on to welcome the newly appointed Ambassador and wished her success in her role. His Royal Highness then noted Egypt’s significant role in supporting Arab solidarity and its efforts in confronting the challenges faced by the region, including combating terrorism. In this regard, His Royal Highness stressed that the efforts exerted by both countries to further support bilateral relations and strategic ties have contributed to the development of economic cooperation and the facilitation of new investment opportunities. For her part, Her Excellency the Egyptian Ambassador expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness and pledged to continue her country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
