Accentuating GCC humanitarian efforts discussed

Manama, Dec 31 (BNA): Media Committee of GCC Red Crescent societies and authorities has commissioned committee member Dr. Fawzi Amin to organize a working paper on ways to benefit from the media and documentation centers of members of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent in North Africa and the Middle East to document the efforts of the GCC Red Crescent societies and authorities in the field of humanitarian work. The Media Committee, in its meeting held in Riyadh, recommended that the 21st of April will be the GCC Red Crescent Day. It also recommended that the Saudi Red Crescent Authority to organize a joint exhibition for GCC Red Crescent societies and authorities on 19-21 April 2016 for the same purpose. Al-Amin noted that the meeting targets developing a media plan to highlight the relief and humanitarian role played by the GCC Red Crescent in conformity with the recommendation of the GCC Red Crescent meeting held last October in Doha.
