BDF Commander-in-Chief pays homage to late servicemen

Manama, Dec.30 (BNA): Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa was at the forefront as the bodies of BDF servicemen Captain Ahmed Mohammed Ameen, Captain Mubarak Saad Al-Rumaihi and First Sergeant Hassan Ali Eskandar Majid arrived this afternoon in Isa Airbase, aboard a Royal Bahrain Air force (RBAF) military jet, accompanied by a number of BDF officers. The three brave soldiers passed away while performing their sacred national duty within the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa and senior officers saluted the three brave soldiers who gave their lives while performing their sacred duty. A group of military servicemen earlier paid homage to them. The ceremony was attended by Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant-General Youssef bin Ahmed Al-Jalahma, BDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Dheyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi and Royal Guard Special Force Commandant Major His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. Also present were senior BDF officers and families of the soldiers who passed away while performing their sacred national duty within the Saudi-led Arab Coalition. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa conveyed condolences from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, to the families of the brave soldiers and prayed to grant their souls eternal peace, wishing the wounded speedy recovery. The Chief Commander extended condolences to all BDF affiliates and the loyal people of Bahrain, paying tribute to BDF servicemen for their dedicated patriotic efforts and fraternal role alongside their brethren. He performed the funeral prayer for late Captain Al-Rumaihi at Riffa cemetery and offered condolences to the bereaved family, praying to lay his soul in eternal peace. Lt-Gen. Al-Jalahma performed the funeral prayer at Muharraq cemetery for Captain Ahmed Mohammed Ameen. Members of the late soldier’s family, officers, non-commissioned officers, BDF servicemen and citizens also performed the funeral prayer. Lt-Gen. Al-Jalahma offered condolences to the family members. Lt-Gen. Al-Nuaimi performed the funeral prayer at Hidd cemetry for the body of First Sergeant Hassan Ali Eskandar Majid. Members of the late soldier’s family, officers, non-commissioned officers, BDF servicemen and citizens also performed the funeral prayer. Lt-Gen. Al-Nuaimi offered condolences to the family members.
